Name something about the golf swing that you learned that at one time blew your mind?
Just curious to hear the answers.

Just how far left you have to swing to hit it straight. Really opened my eyes and confirmed that the plane really is boss!

For me, it was the Trackman data Brian provided, particularly how far I need to hit down with a 6-iron. I thought I was hitting down in ample fashion and then when I got on Trackman I found I wasn't even close. Now I believe I hit far down enough as I don't flip and my impact alignments are far better.
Where can I find more information on D-plane and trackman?

when you say hit down, are you saying how much steeper into the ball you need to be, or rather to avoid picking it clean? thanks
Brian wrote in a blog post that you have to hit down about -3.5 degrees with a 6-iron. When I got on the Trackman I was trying to hit down and thought I was going down pretty well, but was only at -2.7 degrees. I then kept working at it to get at -3.5 degrees and it felt like I was chopping at the thing, but the results were great and when I got the swing caught on camera, my impact alignments were much, much better.

Wow...I must have swallowed the whole pill bottle.A few months ago, I started working on hitting more DOWN on my irons, as my club pro said I was too shallow with them. Well...a recent Trackman club fitting showed my 6-iron angle of attack between -4.0 and -5.6. Guess now I need to shallow it out some!
P.S. Love the MP-62s that I bought as a result of the Trackman club fitting.
