Ok.

The votes are in, and even though I do not agree at all with the way they came out, here is...

The first result of the Super Survey:

30% of golfers nationwide, lean their torsos to the right at the top of the swing and have some rightward weight shift as well.

If you guys and gals are, here is the next question:

QUESTION #2

Of the golfers with rightward leaning torsos and some rightward weight shift on the backswing, what percentage of them CAN'T MAKE A DIVOT IN FRONT OF THE BALL, and their LOW POINT IS TOO FAR BACK?

Less than 10% of the golfers will make the right move. Of the 90% left, I'd say about 90% would struggle with your conditions.

I am very curious to know what is behind this...

There are folks that think that there are 70-80% of golfers with a rightward torso lean at the top, and a little weight shift, who have contact problems?

And guys like BAX and Mike Jacobs think 15%....

Somebody is way off, huh?

I think they are looking at it from a teachers point of view. If you can get someone into this position, it makes good contact easier to achieve. However, it's certainly no guarantee. Was just looking at some Charles Barkley videos, and he gets into a pretty good lean and has some weight shift, but, well, we all know what comes after.

Of that percentage a very small number can make a divot in front of the ball so my answer to the question as it is asked is 90+% cannot make a divot in front of the ball.

Wow!

One guy says 90% the other says 5%.

No way it's 90%.

90% of all golfers, making a pivot like Ben Doyle, can't make a divot on the forward side of the ball???

???

90%

???

of course that is someone who thinks that the best way to move low point forward is to lean left on the backswing!

That is the left leaners whole premise that people can't move through the ball from the backswing that your talking about. So 90% was probably conservative.
