Thanks for the info. That'd be awesome if they added the CP (hand path)! Hope the new one works out for you. The idea behind the product is great and I hope all the kinks get worked out.

PH, thanks for the time to respond with the details. As far as bigger images...you used postimage.org.....and you'd have to reupload the images and then put in links here for the "DIRECT LINK" which are the larger images. At least that's what worked for me.

An alternate site to use is :tinypic.com

Anyone on when the acceleration of the club head should peak?

Okay I had a session today with my instructor on the flightscope. The numbers my SwingByte is throwing out for club path, face etc are not even close. But!!! It could well be that I've got a dodgy device. They are sending me a replacement. It seems that the sensors are somehow misaligned. When you look at your swing in 3D it looks like it just needs a rotation anti-clockwise by about 20 to 30 degree and it would be fine.

But even with the numbers way off the SwingByte still gives a lot of useful information when you look at your swing (or what your club does) in 3D. You can see whether you've got any loops in your swing (I have)

The picture above shows my 're-routing' at the top, might be something I need to work on (?)

This feature is very nice as well. You can see for each point in time of your swing the speed or acceleration. The picture above shows that my acceleration peaks fairly early (probably not good, lost some power recently, where should the acceleration peak?)

With the overhead view you can see lasers 'shooting out of the club from the face and the handle'. These are the red lines, again showing nicely my re routing.

Other nice features are that you can rotate the 3D view to what ever position you want. You could have your face on view but with the observer 3 yard tall, view it from 'up the target line' etc.
I will use it as well to work on the length of my wedge shots (1/2 3/4 etc) as it shows you nicely where your club is at the top of the swing.

The mph for club head wasn't that far off either and it seems to be consistent.

So even though the numbers are off (which might well be due to a dodgy device) the SwingByte still offers a lot of useful information. The great thing is you can share swings with your instructor. He can watch the swings online.

I've suggested to them that they should draw the hand path (coupling point) as well. I think that could be quite useful.

Btw the Support from SwingByte is top notch! They looked at my swing data and then told me that they will send me a replacement device.

Edit: replaced pictures with larger ones

Brian - any updates here? Is something like this worth the $150? What if you just wanted to
examine path and face only? Is it good enough for that?

Thanks, MJH. I am curious about this device. If nothing else looking at the path and face with some accuracy would be nice for the improving player.

Golf Sense, Swing Byte and Swing Smart - REVIEW
I'm trying to learn how to put pics on here to show some comparisons but can't figure it out, so here's the link. No affiliations with them or the products, just trying to share some info and possibly help someone make a more informed decision. If anyone is looking for an inexpensive swing trainer of this nature, it's worth having a look at. Not trying to persuade anyone one way or the other but I can't stand wasting money on bs products. Good luck!

I bought one..two, actually. I tested them against our FlightScope and there were some 'similarities'. But then the numbers went waaaayyy off and I'm sending them both back today. The graphics shown above are fun and pretty accurate--just the numbers are too dodgy to count on. I hoped it would work. Let them work out the bugs before you spend $150 on it.
