Wait...so you are gonna play like a hybrid 9 iron or something??

Maybe I don't understand.

PS PING irons kick butt.

Well you could never be accused of not doing things your own way.

Maybe you should add to the sig:

"Win a tourney with a full set of hybrid irons."

After 17ish years of golf, I can finally hit fairway woods... I might go all LPGA and play a set of high loft fairway woods, then I could share fashion tips with Megan Pressel, and chat about how much she's going to hate having WIe back on tour.

I think PING clubs are ugly.

This.

They haven't made anything that looks any different (other than BeCu's) since they started. They're all that dull, ugly a** POS grey color w/ big chunks missing out of the hosel, huge flanges and toe angles. I wouldn't play them if someone gave me a set.

The woods are slightly better. Except for the G10 maybe that has the crescent as the alignment aid. [puke] Are you kidding me?

Ping Anser has been copied about a billion times, so they get a C+ overall for a big win there.

I'm a forged guy so I really like blades. Haven't hit 'em, but Scratch Golf has a buzz these days. Very expensive, however.

Would be tough to beat a set of Mizuno's or some AP2's if you're into cavity backs.

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, but Ping products are awesome. I guarantee that if you had a set built by the WRX dept. you would not be disappointed. I can understand someone preferring the look of Miura's or the feel of blades, but you can still find Eye2's in tour players bags. I guess the important thing is having clubs that both please the eye and perform on the course!

I agree on the Eye 2's. If you're still seeing them today they gotta have some value.

My problem with ping is they don't pass the first test 1) Appearance.

Sounds silly, but if I look down at it and it doesn't fit my eye - no dice.
