Brian,

To answer your question...

Yes, I would teach someone a high(er) right shoulder, wide(er) release, and more cupped left wrist if...

They had excessive tilt in an effort to get more inside to compensate for a closed clubface that was the result of a bowed left wrist at the top.

FOH,

Tulsa area - sounds like you are also?

I was born in Fort Worth, lived a great deal of my life in Oklahoma and am now back in Fort Worth. I lived in a podunk town near Seminole called Maud. But, I went to college in Okmulgee which is just South of Tulsa.

It's all relative.

Leadbetter may have been teaching Faldo to swing with a higher (as opposed to high) right shoulder and wider (as opposed to wide) release.

Whatever he did...it worked.

FOH,

I've been to the Colonial Tournament several times in the past 10 yrs. Great, fan-friendly practice area.
Colonial is great. I cant stand the Byron Nelson. That course has no soul. But Colonial?? Oh yes, it is rich with history.
