(for my game) The most important thing I've learned in the last couple of years is how not to tug.

(for my teaching) Dr. Nesbit's torques.

BManz -- is that, specifically, not pulling with (and quickly opening) the left shoulder at transition/start of the downswing? If so, does the thought of keeping the lower back turned to the target longer help you in your effort "not to tug." I ask because these are the thoughts/feels that work for me, too, when I execute them properly. Thanks ...

Not tugging here too with proper handpath.

And along the same lines and still working on it, but kinematic sequencing.

When all else fails, go see your nearest Manzella instructor. Just had a lesson with Mike Jacobs, and the results were awesome.

I had to search this site for the Tour Pitch. I'm not sure I learned (relearned?) to use the bounce of my wedges on this site but that technique sure has helped my short game. And using the bounce is actually one of the easier techniques for me since I am an almost reformed flipper. Using the bounce requires a baby-flip which I have no problem with. I would say the best thing I learned from Brian is the idea of swinging left in order to move the swing bottom forward. I have spent many, many, many years sliding and driving my legs and swing forward, swinging from the inside, while trying to take a divot in front of the ball. Without some great delayed hand control that is almost impossible if you play the ball forward. Thank god I found Brian's site and his explanation on swinging left with axis tilt.

There is no doubt that despite the assassination of the Manzellion on many a golf site, the dude has contributed much to golf instruction.

Tony,
re: moving the swing bottom forward by swinging left- was this something you learned from Brian in a lesson or was it from this site?
