Great sense in these last few comments.

Tiger needs to read this forum, no s**t. There's more golfing sense and knowledge here than anywhere else on the planet.

Sergeant Foley cant you see
These things dont work for me

Before I'm thru
Sergeant Foley its up to you!

Just watched Brandel Chamblee basically state that Foley is trying to teach tiger a method that is not condusive to his body type instead of trying to fix the fundamentals that create a good shot(all that matters is impact?). He went further to explain that Foley is trying to get tiger into a position like Hunter Mahan but that tiger is more muscular and not as flexible in his lower body as Hunter, but if tiger would just go back to doing what Butch had him do by letting his right elbow come of his body and create more space for his arms than his fast hips would again be an asset to him instead of something he has to fight against in the Foley method. I read this as "go back to what Butch taught you".

Guys,
I have been at Doral everyday watching him on the range and followed him the last two days on the course. Foley was filming quite a bit and they are looking at a lot of video after every shot. I was shocked that he was looking at video of his swing right before he went out to play on Wednesday. He cannot hit a consistent shot pattern on the range and has the glove under his right armpit during his range sessions. Yesterday was the first day he hit a consistent shot pattern on the range until he got to the driver and every shot was a big block fade. I was right there on two when he hit the chunk driver that did not even get to the ladies tee. On five he aimed so far left and blocked the crap out of it into the right fairway bunker. The way he hit it yesterday 74 was a hell of a score

Wow, that wouldve been fascinating to watch in person. Reminds me of watching Duval at the Players in the early 2000s. It was unreal how bad the shots were for someone at that level.

Mcdowell and Mickelson were laughing at his bad shots and he beat them by 9 and 12, imagine if he gets his "A" game back.
I hope he figures it out because it is much more fun watching him dominate than watching guys back into winning tournaments

Im a little confused by this...didnt Watney birdie the hardest hole on the course for the win today?

Yes he did, but a few guys that were right there dumped it in the water or dropped off, but Watney did "Win it" in the end. I just preffered the days of tiger stomping the field with super-human shots
Kuchar and Donald were both over par on the last 9 and Johnson bogey'd 16. I remember the shot Tiger hit at the canadian open out of a bunker with a 5 iron, those were the shots that left me as a fan in awe of what I was watching.
I really don't want to go back to the 1980's run of 1-3 tournament winners leading the money list or a year like Tom Kite had when he won the money list without winning an event.
I'm a tiger fan what can i say?

I think trickyric nailed it. When you go back to Tiger's early days, we got to see a type of golf that had never been seen before....the Canadian Open bunker shot, the Open at Pebble, 9 irons into par 5s at Augusta. Tiger could hit shots that literally nobody else on Tour could hit.

It was incredible to see, and I'd love to see something like it again.

That may very well be a big part of the problem, too. Foley supposedly doesn't subscribe to a method, but he still doesn't know how to prescribe the right movement patterns for a golfer's individualized pattern.

I fully agree with this statement. He is somewhat delusional to claim that he doesn't subscribe to a method. This swing is quite possibly NOT a swing that Tiger can assimilate.

I agree. After watching Mahan last week it appears to me that Foley is trying to get Tiger to swing exactly like him.
