The fact that it's gotten to the point where you feel compelled to start a thread half way through a Thursday round about him not being over par doesn't make me angry. #keepthebarhigh

Lifter,

Why do you hate Freddie Jacobson so much? He's playing well.

Why do you hate Dustin Johnson so much? He's playing well.

Why do you hate Hunter Mahan so much? He's playing well.

Why do you hate Sergio Garcia so much? He's playing well.

Why do you hate Steve Stricker so much? He's playing well.

Why do you hate Keegan Bradley so much? He's playing well.

Why do you hate Peter Hanson so much? He's playing well.

Why do you hate Graeme McDowell so much? He's playing well.

Why do you hate Bubba Watson so much? He's playing well.

Why do you hate Phil Mickelson so much? He's playing well.

You must be a hater since you didn't mention any of those guys. Hater. This thread is a complete waste of bandwidth.

johnnymarlboro, I don't have a history of hating on any of those players. mgranato has a long long long history of rooting against Tiger. And I always root for Tiger, so I'm giving mgranato crap for it.

Sorry for bothering you.

This is akin to me giving my Cowboys fan buddies crap when they lose.

Anybody see the double cross wood he hit on 3?

Wow. That was really, really ugly.

It looked to me like he actually caught it way off the heel. (It actually kept going left however....)

Is that read right?

I think Tiger' swing looks great, I am probably in the minority but the changes he has made, 2 years in the making now, are paying off. If it takes Tiger 2 years to make significant changes, practicing every day, with the best teachers and equiptment money can buy, maybe it should be a lesson to just how hard it is for the mere mortals to make changes.

Or maybe if he just stuck with what worked in 2000 and refrained from trashing his marriage, he'd have won 3-4 more majors by now.

Do you really think he was mr. ultra faithful way back when he was winning? Only he knows what he was doing or wasn't doing back then. I think it would be wiser to look at him as a golfer with and without his father, not with or without extra women around. JMO

Apples to space shuttles comparison.

Who the hell knows? What I was getting at is that, in my opinion, Tiger's swing and game were just awesome in 2000. He didn't get married until 2004 and it wasn't until 2009 that everything fell apart. Clearly during 2010-2011 (post wedding scandal) he was at worst golf-wise, at least in terms of winning events and/or tour earnings.

Clearly the divorce took a heavy toll. He ended up firing his long-time friend and caddy and also opted to re-vamp his swing once more with a new coach. We know that Tiger can't resist tinkering with his swing. That's a lot to deal with and, yes, I absolutely believe that his private life had a substantial impact on his focus and ability to compete. He essentially pissed away 2 years of his life.

He's obviously playing well and is going to be the favorite to win at Augusta. Vegas already gives him 5-1 odds.

Erik
