There will always be Tiger lovers and Tiger Haters. Love him or leave him with regards to his personal life and all the judgements. Every one makes mistakes that have effected family and work. Just as many judgements with regards to his golf swing over the years. Who cares....what I care about is how he manages his game and golf swing on the golf course and what is the end result. He puts the ball in the hole in fewer strokes than everyone ever with the exception of Sam Snead.

For the record I admire what he has done for golf. Also for the record not a fan of the off course extra curricular activity and believe whole heartedly that he was using PE drugs when all the other activities came to light. But I was one of the few among my peers that thought that before anything hit the press. Just look at his physic today compared to 3 years ago...don't have to be a rocket scientist.

Bottom line Tiger congratulations on your 76th tour victory.

Just looked at pictures of Tiger from 3 years ago, and today. His physique looks exactly the same. But I'm not a rocket scientist so...

If Tiger had putted like everyone else he would have been nowhere at Doral. IMO he has one of the worst swings on tour. But he is really really talented and can still get the job done.

Hey, maybe he can still win the Masters, but he will never win another of the majors with that swing.

Tiger had a hard time finding the fairway, he was hitting 5 wood and long irons a lot and still missed some fairways with those clubs....His short game, wedge play and putting was incredible. He can get away with an iffy long game at Doral but not at Augusta or a US Open but if he ever fixes his driver look out.

Try this math. Woods has won 27% of the professional events he has played in. Phil, one of the top 10 players ever maybe (?) Has won 8%. Tom Watson' 6%, Jack 12%. Those last two are not valid I know because of playing later in life. I'm just saying...these are simply facts not observations of life style choices or swing patterns. Those numbers are johnny wooden, bill Russell esque.

Of course he's won more than anyone else. But it's an apples and pears analogy. Tiger is the most disturbed golfer of any of the big time winners. Obsessive, addictive, do-anything-to-win type of guys always win more than guy with just a tiny little bit of balance in their lives. The guy has put me off watching golf and to my mind has ruined the game with his classless personality.

When you hear great music, do you need the musician to have balance in their life? Does a great meal need to be prepared by a chef with balance in their life? I want the best brain surgeon for my child's operation. I don't care if he has balance in his life. Also, I don't think I'm the one to judge whether another person's life has balance or not.

Nope.

Does a great meal need to be prepared by a chef with balance in their life?
For me, yes.

I want the best brain surgeon for my child's operation. I don't care if he has balance in his life.
It would be preferable to me if he had.

Also, I don't think I'm the one to judge whether another person's life has balance or not.

Fair comment, but don't you have people that you like and people that you don't like? Guys that you admire or find inspirational? Guys that you can't stand or despise? Everyone's got preferences and I just can't stand greedy self-centred egomaniacs who have no respect for others, not even their family. To me, TW is one of the most unlikeable guys ever to have been at the top of the game. Guys like Lionel Messi, Roger Federer and Sebastian Vettel put him to shame.

I've got an even deeper thought.

Who in the hell is Lionel Messi and Sebastian Vettel? Are they chefs or surgeons?
You are joking right?

Sebi has won the F1 Championship 3 years in a row now and Lionel Messi it's arguably the best football player (soccer for our friends on the other side of the pond) in the world.

LOL, never heard of them either, to us Americans F1 is a function on the computer keyboard and soccer is something the little kids play on Saturday until they are old enough to play real sports. :)

No offence taken. Non Americans probably would have never heard of your top basketballers, baseballers and footballers either.

Football to us, soccer to you guys, is nevertheless the biggest sport in the world. By far. Indisputably so. Messi is regarded as the best player in the world right now, and possibly the best of all time.

I doubt Messi or Vettel would offer me a popsicle from their fridge either.

Don't forget these guys are spoilt by fame and fortune. If I was worth a billion dollars,I would have my own 400ft yacht with a bevy of bimbos and a fridge full of posicles all to myself. How many nice, generous and thoughtful billionaires do you know? There probably are some around but they are the exceptions to the rule.

I don't think Tiger is a nasty person.I think he's just a bit crass and has a toilet sense of humor which actually might appeal to some on this forum.lol

Interesting statistic:

Soccer: 3.5 BILLION fans worldwide.

Baseball: 500 million
Basketball: 400 million
Football (American): <400 million.

Yes wulsy, everyone knows this, which makes it even more amazing why the only soccer player that I've ever heard of is David Beckham. And I had to google soccer player married to spice girl to figure that out. Just not that cool to most Americans.

I'm sorry, soccer just isn't much of anything over here past puberty. Just something to do instead of play video games
