Well I’ve taken a little grief for trying to figure out how Tiger’s putting stroke works, which is fine. I have a hard time understanding why people wouldn’t want to know how one of the greatest putters stroke works. A lot of people think it’s mental and that’s what makes him such a great putter or that his speed control is what does it and that we amateurs should just try to concentrate on our speed. My question is how can I get a consistent speed if I am not making the exact same stroke each time and hitting the center of the putter face? I would think having a flawless stroke would give you the speed control? Or am I off base and center contact is overrated?
What I am looking at doing is eliminating 3 putts and making more putts inside 10-15 ft. My 72’s could be 68’s but more important is my rounds when I am not hitting it great, 75’s turn into 80’s really fast when your putting poorly.
