Brian: I know that you have learned from many golf teachers Jimmy Ballard and Ben Doyle included. It would seem from your writings that Ben Doyle has had the biggest influence on you. In percentage terms how close are the things you teach to Ben's methods? Thanks.

So to you the "Bentley" Doyle swing is the Rolls Royce of golf swings. I know that he learned a lot from Homer. Could you go into how he ended up with his preferred model. Thanks.

Ben was a good teacher, very creative, and a good player BEFORE Homer.

So when he learned the Machine he had a BIG head start in practical application.

He has given so many lessons since Homer came to him with the book, that he is still WAY ahead of anyone applying the info.

At Ben's website, I think he mentioned he learned the waggle from a Scottish teaching pro who had come over and relocated to British Columbia.

I was spotting the Elkington, Faxon ,Montgomerie match on day one of the Open for ABC. Steve Elkington waggles and sets up to the ball just like Ben does in his video.

Ben's waggle procedure is great. One of the best things about his waggle is for rehearsal of on-plane loading.

I was just talking about thw waggle move in and of itself......
i was reading about Hogans waggle, a great deal in fact, and the waggle itself seems to me to be a sort of sweep load. In fact it was stressed to practice and start the backswing with the waggle to be on plane easily from the beginning. It is the move i do to start my back swing.
