But in that last photo, the back of his left hand is visible and pointing in the opposite direction of a "swivel" like in your avatar where the back of your left hand is facing the target. What's up with that?

his avatar swivel is the never slice again pattern swivel, which isn't used by many tour pros.

and, Brian said that toms uses the NHA pattern... which, i wouldn't know 100% for sure because i do not own them, but wouldn't the NHA pattern swivel be the opposite of the NSA pattern swivel........;)

Thanks, I used a Canon 40D and the shutter was around 1/2000. It was a very challenging day for photos - the light was strong but it was very cloudy, so everything looked backlit.

I have a bunch more shots of Mickelson, Immelman, Zach Johnson, Harrington, etc. I'll try to get some time to post them, it just takes a while doing thrm one by one. I wish there was an easier way to post them.

One by one? no way...

Brian,

Has David Toms always had his left arm just about parallel to the target line in the backswing when that arm is parallel to the ground? Is that something he seeks, been taught or what comes naturally? The left arm of most HOF's are quite a bit inside at that point, it would seem.

Thanks for any insight.

Thats part of Never Hook Again.

Toms has the MOST bent right wrist ever into impact. He has to because his hands come in high and he downarches his left wrist forcing him into that unique bent wrist follow thru. Look at Hunter Mahan and you'll see someting similar.
