I don't own one. However, I was on the range yesterday and overheard two people mention the club as they passed it back and forth. I asked to hit it, and it lived up to its reputation. The club felt great, and flew just like a normal 8 iron on the two shots I hit. In fact, if you strike it confidently, you'll never know it's a training club. I definitely think it is worth the money if you have a problem making solid contact with proper forward lean, etc.

However, if you already strike the ball well (downward hit with forward lean), you may not need it. But, given that you're interested in the training aid, I assume that you think it will help you.

Hi,thanks for the reply,i am looking at the club as i very rarely take a divot with my irons and feel as if i dont compress the ball well and after a lot of searching came across this site and Michael Jacobs as well.I think i need to work on my strike and this looks a good option...

Hey pmac,

I have the tour striker pro 7 iron and I say yes to the tour striker. Its does as advertised, must have a downward strike to get the ball in the air.

I have the 7 iron tour striker pro as well. Great training aid for any flippers out there! It helped me tons, and I still use it frequently. You won't be disappointed!

Hi all buddies here,
I want to know in details about this one training iron what kind of this is and how it works well...???
Any help much appreciated....

well i bought one..Went straight to the range on the way home.Felt completely different to my Wishon irons but i was expecting that. The first 5 or 6 shots were really bad but the i started to work out how to strike with it and wow what a differance in ball flight,by the end of the basket i was hitting nice little soft draws about 130 to 140 yards into a medium wind.I cant wait to get back to the range with my regular 8 iron to compare. Thanks to you all with your great advice.

Cheers

I have a 7i pro version and I like it. The only thing is that the shaft is a little softer than I expected. I used to play R300's on my MP 30's and went with a 7i pro regular shaft. It's a little softer than I'd like but still works. I work in patent law and I think this invention is one of the most clever ones I've seen golf.

I think the Tour Striker is a very good training aid. In fact, I have seen a number of threads about it on other golf boards and people almost universally rave about it. I think a key consideration is which one to get - for example, I got the 8-iron regular and I probably should have gotten the 7-iron pro. My sense is that if you are a semi-decent ball striker and are willing to put in the practice time, then you might be better off with the pro version.

Good luck.

Hey marlin
The best info on these irons is on the website, I dont know if putting the website link is allowed, but check out tourstriker.com and you will see all of the irons available. I bought the 7 iron pro and I'm very satisfied with it. Great feedback, meaning if the strike isn't downward and a flip is done all you will get is worm burner. After a few of those the golfer must change and learn how to strike the ball with a downward strike and the shaft leaning forward, aka, lagging club head. The downward strike is nothing extreme. try it you will like it.
