I think Butch is having a good 'ol laugh everytime Tiger says he knows his swing. Tiger is using Stevie the Thug to be his second set of eyes and it shows.

What's the real deal with Darren Clarke and Tiger? Looks like quite a battle from the comments that they were making on TGC live the other day... or at least there is more to the story than meets the eye

in a recent SI (i think) they did a PGA Tour poll and one question was to name the most overrated Swing coach and mickelsons teacher (Smith? having a blank) won by far

This is true, but having a good friend or teacher in life can only help. Tiger tosses away too many people around him. Watch out Stevie.

It was SI's ten anniversary issue of golf plus, a subscriber only magazine for golf nuts. The poll question also had a percentage of players voting all of them when refering to overrated instructors.

The truth hurts doesn't it. Being a pro doesn't mean you CAN"T be wrong.
Toms' swing is far more dependable. Tiger has more talent but doesn't seem to get by on it much anymore.
If you READ (so many don't read) the critique you might have been able understand the point.

How's Ernie these days?

Here is a question for you Mr. Circle: Why when a PLAYER says he think he is or aspires to be the best everyone applauds...and when a teacher does it, someone like you jumps up and down in disgust??

Just my opinion, If you are good at what you do the truth will come out. Now wannabe pros like EdZ well thats another story.

I respect your opinion.

But, like i have siad there are NO Star Seaches for teachers, no American Idol for instructors.

I'll speak softly AFTER I get my turn at the mike.
