Why I think Tiger needs an equipment change....

Seriously?

Would you really change a long term swing fault AND hand him a new driver at the same time?

If the driver was designed to work with the swing change... Why wouldn't you?

I want my students to get the results they deserve for the swings they make. I DON'T want my students to continually see poor results while trying to make a change.

Why wouldn't I? There is the swing fault, and then there is the other matter of swing change to accommodate the new style (and possibly a new driver and ball). Mr Woods wants to keep on playing well and winning, so I suggest the new style should be introduced gradually, if it is needed. To heap everything in together looks to me to be a hack job.

change technique
change loft
keep ball
keep driver

DONE.

Fix his technique and get him on a Trackman and tell him what his optimal numbers should be and he will figure it out. For the club experts his Titleist driver had a bore through shaft and his Nike does not, I am assuming his Titleist driver would play stiffer if the same profile of golf shaft was in each club?

yup, they may have to go through a couple drivers to get the COG right for him but no reason he has to change the actual driver model.

Yes, but I also think he needs a shaft change. Doesn't have to be steel but heavier would be better with a higher kick point.

That would be correct. It would play tip-stiffer; Stiffer feel, and likely a lower ballflight.
