THIS AIN'T NO APRIL FOOLS...THIS IS THE REAL DEAL!!

This is our own Tom Bartlett, two months into his golfing comeback, playing with yours truly at the Blackstone Country Club in Phoenix Arizona, on the 18th hole. The hole is a level, straightaway 538-yard par 5, with an slightly elevated tee. There was about 5mph of tailwind.

It hit the very bottom of a hill an only kicked forward 27 yards uphill.

Lord only knows where it goes if it hit a hard level PGA Tour-like spot.

POWERHOUSE. (cue Raymond Scott)

His pivot seems to stop quite early yes? (shadows make it a little tough to see though)

Only an Extreme Groin Closeup?

C'mon, you can't even see his face? I don't think it was really Tom....407 yd drive in the desert, grainy "Zapruder video", I think it was really Mike Austin!

I love the deep right elbow and how he maintains the shaft lean with the ball quite far forward (even though we cant see the ball). Nice free pivot too.

Oh, and that takeaway really looks like Tiger Woods. Just a bit more hip turn at the top.

what driver and shaft does Tom use?

The wrong one. It is a three year old Cleveland high bore 9.5°/2° open with a Grafalloy Blue shaft. Launch angle 11.5° with 2900 rpms.

They fit me for an R9 8.5°/2° open with a Fujikura Motore F1 65 gram Xflex tipped 1.5 inches (8.0 frequency) @ 45 inches. Launch angle was 11° with 2200 rpms. Into the wind carry 295 total 330. swing speed with a driver was 120.

Impressive. Into wind carry 295+

I am 270. I've lost 25 lbs in the last 2 months and trying to get to MY ideal weight of 210.

Sweet, I topped out at 235, and lost 40 pounds about 2 years ago. I gained some back though after marriage......;) I would like to get back down to my ideal weight of 185. For me it REALLY helps my swing to get to my "comfortable" weight.

You dont look 270, I thought we were closer in weight than that...

I can't wait to get to 210. I know how much better and farther I hit it at that weight.

Also, with regards to irons. I am using S-400s, they fit me for X-100s and I picked up a half a club length.

I would highly recommend Cool Clubs in Phoenix to anyone.

X-100 shafts. One of the best shaft and flex ever made.
