Maybe my wife's pregancy brain is contagious, 'cause I still can't see the relationship to the low left shoulder deep into the downswing. I'm a little slow on the uptake.

the lower the left shoulder the later in the downswing, the less axis tilt the player has and the less axis tilt they will have at impact and the more left they will tend to swing. usually a method used to fix "swining-too-far-to-the-right" players. a good move is "no-tilt-until-after-sit-down"
 
Fast hands have NOTHING to do with a late release.

As a matter of fact, you need slower hands if anything.

Is this different from what you thought in the past Brian?

I thought you needed "fast handspeed" for a very late release.

BTW am I the only one who thinks Sergio's backswing pivot looks really awkward??

And before anyone says it- I know how good he hits it BTW.

But that stiff right knee.......barf!!
