As far as the frisbee throw being un-athletic....

It is a GREAT way to explain the forward pivot of a swinger.

Never seen one better.

There's a danger that it will transform an inert left arm into an "active" left arm in a Swinging procedure. The "around" movement of the shaft should be provided by the pivot only in a left arm Swing and by the right arm in a right arm Swing.

Guys, there is a BIG difference between Driving the Right Shoulder like crazy down the plane (using your "right side"), and actually trying to straighten your right arm by using your triceps (right arm thrust over and above what's needed for Extensor Action). The former does indeed add a whole lot of power without sacrificing accuracy, but the latter was NOT recommended by Homer (4-Barrel Swing).

ok, maybe somebody addressed it, but I still don't get this right arm swing thing with both arms pulling. I thought you either pulled"swing" or pushed"hit"

Can someone explain the swinging hit???

The Right Arm Swing is different to the Four Barrel Swing. The Right Arm Swing is accelerating the club longitudinally with your Right Arm. Hence there is no such thing as a Four Barrel Right Arm Swing, because you cannot push and pull with the same arm! With the Four Barrel Swing, your are adding Accumulator 1, which means you are supporting the longitudinal acceleration of the secondary lever assembly (the club) by pushing with your right arm through Impact. The push of the right arm supports the pulling motion of the stroke. Unlike Hitting, your are not trying to radially accelerate the club with your right arm.

The frisbee motion is athletic. I broke many windows when I was a kid, but never with a frisbee. Always a first.
Here's what is not being addressed enough (in my rookie opinion):
What can we do to train our pivots (bodies)? There are some great new training methods and some great old training methods. Are we doing it enough? Frisbee throwing would be good training. Discus throwing, medicine balls, etc..
Are we pros really setting examples for our students? Are we promoting a healthy lifestyle and fitness? The Machine needs to have strong and flexible components. The Machine needs good fuel. mmm, I think I'll have a Guiness..oil for the machine.

lol...what did i start?

FWIW, I played with GolfChicago this weekend (poorly unfortunately) but i did show him this "right arm" motion in my "swing" and he could tell how much more speed it created (and distance) since i was only about 10 yards behind him instead of about 20-25. Plus the sound off the clubface was much different indicating more speed.

I'll admit though, the only way to do this with ANY CONSISTENCY is with a pull/fade.
