Coolcool.

I will buy your book. I don't buy many either. TGM is the only one I've bought.

I can understand why you're "tight lipped".....that's ok. Ppl steal ideas.

...

It is a mess....it's pathetic man. A joke.

I just got The Golf Channel (laugh).....watching "Your Game Night" last night.

Some of this stuff is such a joke....I get the sense that I know more than a lot of these guys. (pretty sure I do) I don't have much teaching experience but at least I'll know better than to tell people some of these funky things....

It's just really sad some of this stuff.....really.

A lot of these guys are salesmen man. They talk like they know exactly what they're saying....and they prolly convince so many people. (at least until they try out the tip or w/e and still suck at golf)

I mean....do they know how off-base they are sometimes? I personally would not be able to talk that confidently to people (sell them) if I knew I knew so little. Couldn't do it.

Maybe they don't know. I think it's a little of both tho. $$$

...

BTW ppl shouldn't worry about "defending TGM" or "defending Homer"....that is pure BS and really just goes against TGM and the whole reason why we like it...

That being: we all like TGM and Brian's stuff etc. because it is better than this mainstream stuff.....so if we're wanting better instruction....why not welcome improvements and additions?

...

The work speaks for itself....it's pretty solid. Most things. (honestly it is and I know you know that...most of it)

And any "defending of Homer" and wanting to freeze this work and not advancing and thinking Homer would not still have been researching and tweaking things after his death really is BS....

So ya I'm on your side for at least questioning. (but if I think you're wrong about whatever it is you are questioning I'm still gonna tell you)

Take er easy.

Anyone that can perform multiple patterns like Mr. Alford did without practicing them recently has my utmost golfing respect. The man simply knows what he is doing! Also, I believe you truly understand these swings and are not simply a great imitator or something.

Just another person looking forward to your book(s),

Matt

Thanks for the comments. My mind moves my body. That's the way I do it and that's the way Hogan approached things. In other words, it's all about accurate, relevant golf swing knowledge.

OTOH, I've seen kids with GREAT swings who really couldn't explain what they were doing...not even how they started their "backswing", for example.

I agree with the sentiments regarding golf instruction including most books. It's an "amazing" situation, given the huge popularity of golf. Yet, the muck runs deeper today than ever before, it seems...Yep, some of the infomercials and golf lessons on TV are utterly "amazing"...lol

No prob. David.

And I agree 100%.

I bet if they tried a little harder they could come up with some feels to attribute to their swing tho.

And....

Regardless of what people are doing and how much they know about what they are doing....

They are doing SOMETHING!!....(something that is explainable by someone who knows what they're talking about)

Drives me nuts man.....(I yell at my TV)

Pure BS sometimes.....pure marketing....salesmanship....etc. $$$

Yurrrghghg! (vein in neck explodes)
