Brian,
Regarding the article on DT, it states that his club was pointing way right - a common mistake of my own. I was wondering where you got him to move it to?
I am a newbie to the TGM system and I am somewhat nervous about jumping in w/ both feet as I don't want to get overly technical (a BIG problem now), but I have seen some things on this forum and TGM forum that make some sense. I am taking an aspirin instead of the whole bottle approach right now.
thanks.

We read from your posts that you have great info. But people like EdZ have not seen it. I haven't seen it either (except for that post about low point below the left shoulder. I really liked that explanation).
For that amateur champion to come to you and say that your teaching was simple and concise, it doesn't do anything for me either. It sounds like for all your detailed explanations that you have about the swing, the lessons that you give might be very "standard." Harmon, Leadbetter, and a ton of PGA pros give very simple and concise lessons, too. Maybe yours are the same?

I'm still going to selfishly read this forum, b/c I'm hoping that there will be a gem from you, eventually.

Exactly - all I have seen is hype, and nothing that I haven't read somewhere else before.

So, rather than simply insist that you have all the answers, how about showing me something new?

So, rather than simply insist that my post re: fixing a slice is incorrect, how about showing me why?

So rather than being arrogant, how about letting RESULTS speak for themselves?

Show me some results, some reasons, and something that makes sense.

I don't doubt that you know about the swing, or that you can help people play, but I do doubt, from what I have seen, what it is that makes you any better than the rest. Your ego needs its own login.

I ask you again - prove me wrong - please. I love this game, and I'd like to see more people playing it well. If you can really help people play better, let's see it.

Ed,
He's helped me play better. I have only gotten one lesson from him so far and I am still working on what we changed.

Also, Brian's job isn't to help someone play better. He can't do it for them. His job is to give them the correct information and help them discover how to play better for themselves. He can't jump into my body, or David Toms's body, or your body and hit the shot for you. He can only show his students what they need to do. It is the student's job to work on it and produce the results. That is true for any instructor.

Good post mgjordan.

"The instructor can only inform and explain--the student must absorb and apply."

"The student should not expect expect to play a game with more precision than is built into it."

I believe it is time for EdZ to visit Brian for a lesson and put an end to this nonsense.

i agree with ragman and pro......edz....fly to louisville or new orleans and spend $100 for a lesson.....then after he doesn't help you, RIP HIM!

If he comes out to the Bay Area, I'd be up for it.....

Of course the instructor can only inform... and that is what I haven't seen INFORMATION. Specifically NEW information. All I see in 99% of Brian's posts is hype and arrogance.

So how about starting with the answer to the question he posed to me:

How do you fix a slicer?

Detail please, let's help some people play better golf, or these discussions are pointless.
