Time to get off the

OK, I is off.;)

The lessons not learned in life are the ones where the student is blinded by bias. I reserve judgement about Tiger Woods, Sergio Garcia or any other person I don't know personally. I know I leaned from what Woods did AFTER the double bogey on Sunday, and I also leaned a lot from what Garcia did AFTER the alleged incident on Saturday.

Tiger is great, he's my hero, don't say anything bad about him. He's never done anything wrong. He is flawless, he is fantastic. I love him, because he's Tiger.

So despite have significant troubles with basic drops twice this year alone, he still deserves the benefit of the doubt?

"He asked me exactly where it crossed," Wittenberg said. "I told him I thought it crossed on the corner of the bunker, right where he took his drop. And it's all good."

Moving on...

Maybe we should have instant replay. So all the rules officials could huddle under a
wood and watch it again from the blimp. Or maybe we put a rules official in the blimp. This could get complicated.

The drop was good how anyone can say it wasn't is beyond me. Were you folks on the tee behind the flight of the ball? NO... Oh ok then. Also the masters drop has been blown out of proportion totally.

You think he would have the nads to tell him it never crossed any part of the hole?

Should have had "Jim King" paired with Tiger.

For those that don't know, Jim was an on again / off again tour player back in the 70's. He once threw a tour rules official to the ground and started choking him because he did not like a ruling. He would just as soon punch your lights out as look at you.

There were unsubstantiated rumors that he could have been a hit man for the Mafia.

I have been paired with him in the past in PGA Winter Program events in FL and maybe a Senior Tour Monday Qualifier once or twice.

Jim ain't asking anyone where his ball might have entered a hazard - he is TELLING you where it is.

Bottom line- if a there is question about a ruling, the better man (in golf and life) takes the more penal side of things so not to lose his honor. I get it, that there is big money up for grabs, but it would be nice to see people do what is honorable. The world, even in sports, needs to see someone be accountable. I play with a group of 12 in weekly games, and we gamble a bit. Nobody has to worry about anyone shaving the rules at all. As a matter of fact, the players in our group who whine the least, take their medicine like men and do the right thing have the highest amount of respect.

A perfect example

In our district amateur last year I was paired against one of the guys in our pot game crew- friend. I beat him pretty badly and knew he was not right mentally. After the match he congratulated me and acted as everything was normal. A few days later I found out his father had passed away two days before the tournament. About a month later, I asked why he did not tell me and he said 'I knew it would affect how you would approach our match and I did not want you to play against me differently'. I can not tell you how much respect I have for this person.

If Casey actually saw that the ball didn't cross any part of the hazard margin, why not??

Do you really believe Wittenberg would purposely lie because he's scared of Tiger??

Even if conclusive evidence is found at some point that Tiger dropped his ball in the wrong
place he wouldn't be penalized because of Decision 26-1/17.

As for the lie Tiger ended up with after the drop and the shot he tried to play, i think he hit
one of the best shots of the day. Massively choked up wood with the ball way above his feet
out of the rough 250 yard slight draw to just short of the green! Pretty damn good shot if you
ask me. That shot could have gone just about anywhere if not struck perfectly. Super slow mo
replay was amazing.
