Lag - Left Arm Reference Point

Yes but since a golf swing is not 2D, lag shouldn't be measured using this model. The lag that a real golfer uses is the lag behind the right wrist, even though you are certainly correct that it doesn't pass the left arm, save for perhaps guys like Westwood

Kevin....this is interesting....could you expand on this? How is lag behind the right wrist defined? How is it applied? Is "left wrist lag" window dressing or does it work in conjunction with lag behind the right wrist? How much should the left wrist cock or not cock?

I'm interested to learn more about this concept.

thanks!

Boy, wish I had time for a long answer but I just feel we focus too much on lag from face on and not enough from DTL. You don't need a lot of left wrist to arm angle to hit it well (super flat guys and strong grip, out hand path us usually do) but you have to have enough right wrist bend to have something to throw out to the ball.

Thank You Kevin, thats what I says already some time ago. I think that top down would be still even better way to see it. Real eye opener. So, lag around you, not just face on view and left arm / shaft angle from that direction.

What tour cat would be an example of this Stricker? others?

I hope that you guys don't try to claim I stole it from you, but I'm not holding my breath:)
