This is 2011 right! why cant we just say the words LESBIAN/LESBIANS, so the players sexual preference is an issue with sponsors/public/this forum today, wow. DBL when you say top 10 players converting straight ones where did you get that information or is it speculation. If the LPGA had a day care for heterosexual couples children that would be ok in your opinion?

good ? hp..........DBL where do you have knowledge of CONVERTING.....

I think the sexuality had something to do with that as well. I don't care, but I do believe sponsors and other viewers have a problem with it.

The women's tennis tour does quite well and that is the model I would follow for the LPGA.

The womans Tennis tour though is very much Global, you see a couple events a year on broadcast TV which is about the same as the LPGA.

They are going to struggle, because there are 4 tours (PGA, European, Nationwide, Champions) that have better golfers. I can already watch golf for 8-10 hours a day 4 days a week with these better players if I want. One thing they could do is move their tournaments to Mon-Wed.

Since this thread is titled 'Lexi Thompson', I guess it would be appropriate to offer our congratulations.

Congratulations Lexi, well done!

And I for one, was watching...

No speculation, one could read multiple news reports about it. Think of a number 1 player who dropped out of sight for a few years. I actually changed the facts every so slightly, but I would have thought this knowledgeable group would know. I did a Google search and there are 12,000 web pages listed, many from newspapers. There is a biographical book on the player which broke the story, and then numerous outings involving the pair.

As to the daycare issue, please reread what I wrote, and I notice I didn't give a leaning one way or the other on hetero daycare. But I was presenting a "problematic" issue for any potential and possibly reluctant sponsors who recognize what I pointed out - not to highlight my feelings. I do believe that If a female Tiger Woods showed up and eyeballs turned to the tour then miscellaneous objections would be overcome by new sponsors (who of course may not have any anyways).

I know for a fact on the ladies european tour and top amateur game some of my fiends were "told" they were gay when they had boyfriends at the time. I also know the euro version has a core of lesbians running it on the players side of things.

I also know the players had a shocking attitude to playing in pro ams seeing it as a chore. Errr they are the sponsors? The european game is it's own worst enemy from what I saw two years ago when I caddied for an event.

On a side not I have a 100% made the cut ratio as a pro caddy in case Mr Woods is reading.

Let's be honest here people, if the playes all looked like Anna Kournakova the sponsors would not have a problem. Right or wrong it's a fact.

The ladies tennis has a LOT of good looking players.....

Kevin your mindset scares me

hahahha, but I would have to agree with Kevin.

I only watch LPGA when I have no choice, meaning no shows are on, no movies are on, and no PGA is on.

Sad but true. I think people wants to watch atheletes that are just so out there, and not an average Joe. That's what the audience want, but LPGA does not provide those things.

I watch the LPGA and would watch a lot more of it if they showed it. Questions for the forum who was is the youngest professional golfer, male or female, to win 4 majors in their career before the age of 23.
