Manzella "Easy Does It" Pattern...

Why don't you guys give Howard a break here? He's probably just another old guy like myself, that's looking for something he can run with. Let's face it... were all getting older.

Us old guys are just trying to hang in there as long as we can. It's because we love the game and everything that goes along with it, including this wonderful forum.

Brian may choose to produce another commercial video and that would be fine with me and probably Howard as well. We'll have to wait and see...

But while were waiting, can anyone provide some constructive thoughts regarding these issues?

Thanks,

Forward Bend Management

Earlier in this thread, Brian spoke of the importance of managing forward bend.

Is "early extention" primarily a flexability issue as Dave Phillips would have us believe?

I think I read where Brian stated that if one cant attain an adequate degree of axis tilt on the downswing that they should set up in a closed stance to make up for this because it helps shallow out the angle of attack.

But don't quote me on that. :D

Are you equating axis tilt to forward bend/spine angle?

No.

I was replying to the post you made before the one with the TPI video. Sorry, I should've specified.

This is me to a tee, and I am in my early 30's!

YouTube - IMG_1064.MOV

1- BRIAN was (is) going to do an easy does it pattern

2- I said watch....then use those things you found and incorporate them in that video

3- never said go up an help them..it was doing visual from a distance

4-not pro-bono.........it was simply to use what he saw to help structure easy does it??

5- I was referencing seeing.....movements....shoulder. hip turns....setup..downswing..

let me give an example..........in soft draw...there is internal rotation, hands in deep....then up

BUT....if a person cannot INTERNALLY ROTATE..enough........then whats alternative.........Brian can

figure it out. All i was asking was to watch and observe someone older..not as flexible... Brian with a halo??...........nah....but he is more capable of finding answers then any instructor i know

And in closing i will say this...if i have ever had a problem with Brian i call him OUT

on it RIGHT HERE......in his "house".........i have had emails from friends on other sites..who ask

Howard...do you know there are people who come on (other) site.from Brians site..and trash Brian??...now gentlemen

THATS RUDE................I will call him out when necessary............if he is rude in an answer....i will text him

I consider him a friend and I don't accept rudeness from friends...................

Someone said they were amazed at what alexandjacob had written. I think rudeness was also mentioned...

What amazes me is that, out of the 5 or 6 people who thought it was fine to pile on the criticism of howard's first post (which I admit, I didn't understand but which hardly moved me to post my objections) nobody has the class to respond when howard clarifies what he meant, in terms which I think are entirely reasonable.

Are we still going to talk about rudeness...?

Previously discussed in this thread: http://www.brianmanzella.com/forum/golfing-discussions/13755-tush-line-questions.html

I didn't which led me to believe it wasn't much of an issue. I had a lesson with Brian after that thread and we worked on many things. Fixing early extension, or any other name you give it, was not one of them.

I'll take Brian's word for it that maintaining the "tush line" and not "early extending" has nothing to do with hitting a golf ball.

Seems like he'd be a good model for this pattern:
