Ray Romano and YOUR ideas.

Er...didn't Nicklaus eventually flattern Nicklaus?

Sure I read a whole book about it, written by, er, Nicklaus.

I have no idea.

His swing though has never been Haney-flatterED, as far as I know.

I was a little riled when I wrote my last posts. (though I still think he is basically a tool)

TO explain myself hopefully better, all I was addressing was how one-dimensional Haney seems to be with his teaching.

Ray seems to keep reverting to his old backswing and top of backswing position. And to me it looks more natural. I think he knows something ain't right with what Haney is trying to push on him...

Holy crap, just watched one of the latest episodes On Demand (The one with Ray's wife.)

My god, Ray is routing and rerouting that club all over the place. It looks like the poor guy has no idea what he's trying to do. At one point, he hit a pretty poor shot and Haney lambasted him! It was really awkward because it was evident that Haney was actually very angry. Weird.

Hilarious how he reacted to the "surprise" visit by his wife. Not happy at all.

I wouldn't have watched this show if not for you guys but I have to say that in the episode with his wife I felt bad for him, not only is on TV getting bitch slapped by HH but now you roll his wife out on him in what seemed like an effort to humiliate him.
As far as Haney, he hasn't changed his communication from the first episode of this show and Ray obviously isn't understanding the direction and screaming it at him over and over isn't going to make him understand it.
"isn't the definition of insanity doing the same thing over and over expecting a different outcome?"

In one of the previews, Ray is at GolfTec. Did they ever show that? I found GolfTec to be very helpful. The final episode is Monday and his swing still looks like $#*±. And Jeffgladchun, where have you been? There are 15 pages in this thread stating how crappy a teacher Hank Haney is. Ray Romano would be wise to go see Hank Kuehne, he ain't doing anything.

Re Golftec
Nothing in the main show(s) yet.

I have only seen that one Golftech shot in the "next week" teaser awhile ago, and then a half second shot in a quick paced teaser package (I think in the first episode in May when "back"), in which I saw RR at Golftec again (indoors and same general look).

Final Episode.

Haney caddies for him at a Celebrity tournament in San Diego. Ray blows up on a couple of holes..shoots 92. Front 9 was 44 with just typical holes. Shoots a 9 on #10 and an 8 on #17.

Later Ray plays Liberty National in the rain, with HH caddying. Ray is allowed to shoot 2 balls in a one man scramble. Does pretty good, with a "75."

Then they say, "you won't believe the last 5 minutes" of the show where they show us something which is allegedly 10 days after shooting the final episode. They show us Ray at Lakeside CC and needing to par 17 and 18 to shoot 79. Fails.

Anyone interested can look up the scores Ray has posted at Lakeside and another course at ghin.com and he hadn't sniffed getting close to 80. Lowest since March is 88. Handicap Index is 16, with plenty of 96's and above posted. Upon inspecting the "recent scores" there is an entry of 80 for 6/2010. Real...or...not?

In the celebrity tournament, Ray's putting was one downfall in and of itself. At Liberty National, Ray's short game was very good for some unknown reason. The weather may have made him focus better.

Overall, the swing had not improved all that much, with the dowswing lack of pivot still just terrible.

They also kept interviewing RR about the experience, and he doesn't seem to know enough to be able to say that what he got from HH was terrible.

And how do you teach proper pivot to someone that does not know how to pivot? I wouldn't think that's such uncommon problem amongst hackers.

That recent "80" does sort of seem a bit out of character doesn't it?
