The best Trackman numbers as far as controlling face, path, and ascent/descent.....

Tobell to quote Homer Kelley: "Feel no concern for the PERFECT STROKE. There are trillions of precision patterns with totally correct alignments and relationships, perfect for some application or preference."

I am with Brian. I would rather discuss Furyks amazing Trackman numbers than TGM.

Fair enough. I'll take pragmatism (Furyk) over theory (non-compensated stroke patterns) any day.

I have heard Furyk say he doesn't "feel" like he has a loop, it feels like he is taking the club straight back.

I have always wondered why Furyk is a short hitter? Does that have anything to do with how good his Trackman numbers are?

Here's a swing vision of Furyk, turn down the volume if you don't want to listen to Kostis:

Great video - looks like pivot controlled hands type swing - a lack of hand and arm use limits the power but obviously great accuracy.

Would you ever ADD a shift to a golf swing?

Yes and i have

Would you ever add a different plane line on a backswing?

Yes and i have

Is the shiftless plane swing possible to do will swinging at and hitting a golf ball?

yes but the backswing would be very short

What really makes a golf swing good?

One that allows the golfer under pressure to consistency make the ball do what he wants regardless of what trackman says

Ain't no pivot in the world that could make those hands do that.

His right elbow seems pretty much stuck to his side through impact in the second part of the video. I don't see much shooting the marbles or blood into the thumbs? (confessions of a former flipper). He is 6'2" 185 lbs yet in 2008 he was #162 in driving distance in 2007 #171. Do you think you could get more distance out of him without losing accuracy?

another option

That's why I have always wondered why he was so short. I was really surprised when I seen him live on the practice tee, I thought he was a small guy.

Maybe he's short by "choice." By that I mean, he doesn't rip at it as often as some other guys might. I know that I don't swing 100% with most of my drives, and can hit a lot of fairways, and prefer playing that way to swinging harder, maybe getting 10 more yards, but missing 5 more fairways a round.

I wonder what his clubhead speed "potential" would be?

furyk's good numbers on trackman could be because of his double interlocking grip. I recently tried that grip and the balls I was hitting were straight as can be, but the grip really hurts my fingers and joints. And I never really felt I could exert much power. I do use it for pitch shots that I want land more softly though.

I think that if I could develop callouses so that I could exert pressure with that grip without pain, I could be more consistent with my face angle.
