First of all, I'd like to apologize to Ringer. I missed the memo that said you were honorary moderator today. Must be something wrong with my e-mail?

Secondly, It is a responsibility to not allow the abhorent disregard of physics.

And lastly, I'm not the one using sailor language.

Ringer make sure somebody doesn't turn too fast. You'll break your neck, its dug in sooo deep.

Ringer:

To your question of "Is the right forearm takeaway better suited to Hitter whilst Shoulder Turn Takeaway better for swingers". I think one could make the argument, however, the start up for hitters and swingers using right forearm takeaway should be a bit different. Since Hitters use single wrist action (Left Wrist cocks only) while Swingers use Standard Wrist Action (Left Turn cocks and turns in backswing), there are differences in the way the Right Forearm Takeaway is utilized.

Since you reference the "pickup" part of the takeaway, I would still say it is just as effective for both as the "pickup" part of startup refers to the club moving back up and in simultaneously. Brian/Yoda may have differ from my opinion, however, I prefer to use the same for my "hit" and for my "swing".

I will say that one could argue that the shoulder turn takeaway would be compatible with a swingers "Snap Load" at the top.

First of all.. I'm sorry if my attempts to act as a voice of reason to end the conflict upsets you, but to turn on the person trying to make the peace is in poor taste.

Secondly, the argument is NOT about physics. No one is arguing WHAT the flail does and how it works.. the argument is about what part of the anatomy represents the flail.

And finally.. your reply actually proved my point more acutely than I could have ever done.

Ringer, You can paint the pig anyway you want. If you want to wear rose colored glasses and believe all he is doing is defending a position in regards to the flail, then your more naive than I thought.

I'm still a bit uncertain about the RFT.Would it be similar to the thought "shake hands with someone standing to the right of you"?

This is one of the most intriguing parts of the machine, let me attempt to get it right. The right forearm pickup is started straight away with a bending of the elbow to kick off the backswing or am i wrong?
