But self mastery is funny Chris.

Pretty good this guy is. Butbutbut.....that IS only over 2 events, right?

Someone else: "Butbutbut he will surely keep it up the whole year!! He is playing like he is POSSEEEEEESSSEDDD!!!!!"

Me: "Right now only 2 events."

Well, the "only 2 events" point applies to the scoring average, but the World Golf Rankings are on a two year cycle. Birdie, believe me, I tried not being a Tiger fan for quite a while, I love cheering on the underdogs, but I enjoy watching him now. It's just too impressive.

Your son is Yoda? Do you seriously not think Tiger is dominant? He might not finish the season with a 66 scoring average, but theres no way he wont lead the tour in scoring, like he does every year.

lol no I am just being a knob. No disrespect meant by calling him my son BTW. Just an "ohhhm" type-deal. I updated my post for better clarity.

He is dominant. And has been on quite a stretch since the end of last season.

I hope that everyone interested in the thread title hasn't abandoned this thread yet. Anybody have any thoughts on square shoulders at impact? The 1997 overhead sequence of Tiger shows his shoulders as being VERY open at impact with a 3 wood.

Do you think it would be fair to try and convince these publications to disclaim at the bottom of a swing sequence the shot shape and result? Now THAT would be an advancement in golf instruction publishing...

The further your left arm is across your chest the more open your shoulders have to be to get that arm back to impact. I think Tioger's shoulders are more square since he is so much thicker through the chest.

Chris, 2 things. Why do you always reference Stadler and Herron as having no physical ability? Are you serious? 2nd, do you honestly think that an instructor who knows about the swing and can really hit the ball should have what it takes to win majors?

I feel the same way. I hate that he doesn't have any real challengers, and I absolute despise how players roll into the fetal position when they face him. I never root against him, but I hope someone comes along and gives him some competition. There's absolutely no parity on the PGA... so boring:(

Tiger is becoming Ben Hogan to me: I love the player, but hate his fans!

He makes them give up. The same as the old nicklaus quote where he said he could tell before the tournament the players that didn't have a chance because of the way they talked.

I agree

I agree 100%. Generally, I don't think you get to the PGA Tour level without being pretty darned willful and determined.

I would bet that these guys try everything to not be intimidated by Tiger, and I'm sure that it ticks them off to no end that he gets to them. But try as they might, he intimidates a lot of them with a combination of his talent and the intangibles (presence, focus, personality, inner strength, etc.)

I think that they are powderpuffs, and cowards. I'm going to drop kick the next player that claims Tiger is intimidating. Golf is a sport? What other sport do you find that level of wimpyness? What is so intimidating about Tiger? He isn't going to tackle you on the tee!!! Jack said it best, worry about what is in your own head before you worry about the next guy. PGA tour players are a gutless bunch, content to place. I wonder how many of those guys really enjoy the game, and actually want to win?

How do you really feal? LOL

You think your girl LO-CHO isn't beginning to intimidate the girls on the LPGA? if she keeps this up for a few more years, they can't help but be in awe of her.

The players on the PGA tour did not always hold Woods up on a pedestal. He earned there awe.

lol.....

You have been drinking soy today I see.

Good job though.

I believe that the women on the LPGA have more heart than the powderpuffs of the pga. I think that LO CHO is definitely beginning to strike fear in any player that aspires more than second place. I just hope that the other players don't roll up in a ball, and begin to be happy as an also-ran. The purses are smaller on the LPGA, so you don't find as many professional cut makers or spineless placers. They seem to want it more... All reasons why the LPGA is my fav tour.

I think that birdie_man spiked their gatorade with estrogen fueled soy milk or maybe Shaun Micheel isn't the only pga player in need of a testosterone patch?

What? LOCHO just starting showing some heart. How many did she hand off in the past? Sure there are some weenies on the PGA Tour, but the LPGA...come on.

I know I'm fancy when random posters start picking on me.

LOCHO has killed them softly on every level of golf she has ever played. She's handed off quite a few, so have many players. She started playing well from day one on the LPGA tour... Shoot she carded 442 birdies in her second year. I use to be a bigger Annika fan, but always feared LOCHO because of her demeanor. She has such quiet confidence... like a golf ninja!!! Her body language is so perfect, and she seems to enjoy it. I'm enjoying LOCHO as much as I can because she claims that she's retiring in 5-6 years. She said the rest of these people have nothing else to do but play golf, they never quit... I guess she wants a family, and want to run more marathons and eco-challenges or whatever they're called.

Hail LOCHO!!!

Look at my avatar. She's telling former presidente Fox, pay me more money, I'm Mexico's best export. You have until 2pm or Lacoste replaces Banamex on my hat.

SM,

My post wasn't meant to deride Locho, rather to challenge your statement that LPGA show more heart than the powderpuffs on the PGA. I'm sure the are plenty of "Money-Whipped Steer-Job Three-Jack Give-Up Artists" * on both tours, but I can't believe those girls with their caddies lining up every shot are the toughest players.
