I'd like to see Tiger with Zach or Dufner. Bottom line, if you play good you're a good partner.
I, too, would like to see Tiger paired with Zach, who is such a consistent player and a fierce competitor.
But I have to disagree with your last claim. Playing foursomes is a really, really different game, and it's not just about having two good players. When you are playing just one ball between you, you really have to have some rapport and some chemistry and some communication. You need an actual TEAM that will feel like they are playing the match together, and you need a pairing that makes it so that neither player gets really down on himself for a bad shot.
I played a LOT of competitive golf when I was young, but I didn't play foursomes until I moved to the UK, and I was really shocked at how different it was. Imagine going 5 holes without even hitting a putt, and then having a 5 footer to halve a hole. Two good players can play lousy in foursomes, and two OK players can play great.
