Who is this? I should really know, but I'd be guessing.

Tony Lema . . . Dalton would open a can of whoop dawg on him . . . for the record.

That is one of the best transitions I have ever seen, I know he had a tragic end to his career, anyone got video of him? Did he play in a Shell's match?
azgolfer said:Nice swing. Thoughts: Looks like you are posting up on your left leg better in the after. Finish still seems a little flat and couldn't your weight be farther back on your left heel at the finish ? Looks like you lose your tush line a little, even in the after.

EdStraker said:Tony Lema played in 2 or 3 matches on Shell's Wonderful World of Golf. Jack Nicklaus said Lema would have won some more majors if he hadn't been tragically killed in the airplane crash.
Tony won the British Open at St. Andrews the first time he competed on that course.

One of the things in Swing Like a Pro I thought was good was they say point your right knee in a little bit at address. Seems to help keep the weight off the right toe. As I look at pro swings, I realize that one key point seems to be that they keep their spine angle, and their tush line, and finish on the left heel with the left toe off the ground. Also the position of their left hip is hard to duplicate, even statically if you don't have a lot of strength and flexibility in the left hip and leg. Try to assume Luke Donald's finish position with that angled hip. I can't do it and I've been working on it for a while.mrodock said:Those things are definitely on the list to improve. I'm not crazy about the footwork right now and I think a lot of it is owing to improper movement of the right foot, knee, which is moving the weight on the toes of the right foot.

As a matter of fact, you should see the MANZELLA-POSED version of Matt's swing when I moved him into where I wanted him.
Maybe Matt could "post it up."
I pride myself on being good at moving my students "into position."
