What is TP..............besides Toilet Paper and Tour Preferred...?

...

This is taking it pretty off topic but I still can't completely wrap my head around why they didn't want him out on tour. The guy talked a little funny, played real fast, and sold a few toasters big flippin deal.

As far as I can tell you can't say anything bad about him except for his eccentricities.

Nowadays I'd think they'd like him out there...they'd always have a character to make a story out of in the media. They wouldn't even have to try so hard.

Danny Lee learnt golf from his mother at the age of 8, and now under a coach, Steve xxxxxx. Her mother said: no holidays, no festival, just practice for 10 years.

That is true, but it also hurt him in many ways. There is more to golf than great ballstriking. His austism/asperger's also kept him from being a champion.

He was a champion he won loads of tournaments, he had no problems winning, he just didnt play enough on the US tour. I would speculate his autism is partly what made him such a good visualiser and that helped him hit the ball better. Also people with autism tend to engage in stereotypic repetitive behaviours such as hitting thousands of golf balls- which obviously made him such a good ball striker.

Are you talking about Moe Norman?

the one masters he played in made him so star struck that he beat so many balls his hands blistered. I dont think its really accurate to say he was autistic either. he just had brain damage from a childhood injury.

Thats up to debate, since he was never actually diagnosed, he would seem to display a lot of autisic or aspergers tendencies.

if he was autistic, it was minimal. savant syndrome is glamorized like its something great to have their abilities, but people forget they are basically mentally handicapped in all other aspects of cognition. moe norman wasnt like that. he was just nuts...in a good way.

What is Canada?

Clean water? Good weed? Guns imported from America?

Winning in Canada is like winning the club championship.

Sorry Birdie_Man :D

Some guy named Nicklaus never could win the Canadian Open... Couldn't even come back and win the 2000 Canadian Senior Open when he tried!

I take it the autism thing is iffy.

I know someone with lots of psychology knowledge and field experience who met Moe. Moe told him that when he was younger he had sustained a head injury while sledding and was never the same. (collision with car)

I can't remember all the details but will try to dig up more information.
