Curtis,

No, I have nothing of Mike Austin but my memory. I grew up practicing at Studio City driving range. I saw him there often.

Brady...what did you notice about him that made him so long, do you consider him a great ball striker?

cdog,

The man was freakishly strong. Huge hands, legs, back, etc.

He reminded me of Jack Lalane, but much bigger.

He was beyond fit, an athlete by any measure.

Great ball striker????? Powerfull? Absolutely

I would rather watch him hit balls than teach.

There is something about Chad Campbell that looks slightly hoganesque at the top of the swing from the down the line view with an iron, seeing the picture that you posted Redgoat....

Brady-I love that number 11 picture of Hogan. I think that might be from the commercial he did for Hogan irons. I know so many people that had been around Hogan while he was alive. My grandfather new him when he was at Glen Garden, I used to work with a cousin of his, and my in-laws neighbor grew up living next door to him. Heck, I even liked that horrible "Follow the Sun" movie about his life story. :)

In picture 2 of Hogan, that loos like angled hinging. Brian(or anyone) which do you think he used with most of his irons. Angled or dual horizontal.

Read my "what would you do to Hogan's swing" post.

Hogan, the tournament winner (not Hogan the struggling tour journeyman), was a four-barrel swinger with added right arm thrust and ANGLED HINGE ACTION...

...when he hit a Fade....

;)!
