It's only considered a "secret" because he did not talk about it in "Five Lessons". Anyone who looked closely at his swing knew about it. A "flaw" he overcame? Some of you guys are too much...

Hey, I'm here to learn. Why don't you enlighten me as to how someone who battled below plane hooks could consider reversed overrotated hips as a secret to overcoming his problems. It's you guys, who micro analyze every step Hogan ever made, that are too much....

As far as I know, he didn' t. This feature of his swing didn't appear until well after he cured his hooking problems in 1946. He outlined what he did to cure the hook in the 1955 Life Magazine article titled "This Is My Secret", and it did not involve his hips. As you no doubt know, he overwhelmed the tour beginning in 1946: he didn't do it battling a hook; he did it with a fade. :D Very true. But my point is the older we get the better everyone used to be. And your heroes growing up are infallible. If i have to hear my dad say there will never be a pitcher as good as Koufax I'm gonna puke.

Your dad is right. He didn't neen no stinkin steroids. Just TALENT baby. :)
