What Kind of Release is this? & Can an effective swing include no deceleration?

Uhhh...not Sergio. Sorry, Mike.

Maybe? Left arm and all? I'm trying to think inside the TMAG family.

Not RG.

There is a REASON, a forces a torques reason, that there is an absolute reason for the deceleration.

In other words, you are TRYING to make something go backward, after it had been going forward, and well, a decel will help that a bunch.

Where somethings are still moving, but are moving slower, some things ARE moving backward.

Why doesn't it "look" this way?

Geez...None of them are David.....The last two won majors.

Now if you can't see who the first one is....double geezz...

I have a TPI guy sending me a couple other tour winners.

All of this reminds me of the two excellent TOP 100 teachers who were asking questions in my presentation last week in Orlando about the tumble.

It confused them because they couldn't see it.

Not trying to be smart arse here, but I knew practically all of this years ago. No sheeat. I wonder now if I was the only one, that would make me special, right?;)

Thanks for generously bringing your talents from the winner's circle to our humble forum. Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanks, glad to be here!

Not suggesting that I knew it all, for sure I've benefited greatly from my time on the forum here. Many minds are better than one. By the way, thanks for your links to these books, which no doubt throw light on areas which have been misrepresented for years.

It just amazes me to read that when Brian talks about presenting seminars to Top 100 Teachers explaining it all that THEY STILL DON'T GET IT and kind of makes me think that in reality I must have been SO FAR ahead of the game when I realised these simple truths years ago. I wanted to rediscover how to hit great golf shots after having been ruined by golf instructors. I knew there was only one way to suss it out: BY MYSELF, this because of the unadulterated monkey turd being spouted by big names in golf instruction.

I had, unlike Brian, no desire to educate the world, and unlike his bud in NY, no desire to massage my ego and get rich by promoting myself as some kind of pioneer.

I admire Brian tremendously, not so much for his scientific research, but for his patience and strength of character to withstand the onslaught of attacks on him by wan*ers who WILL adopt his "discoveries" and sell them as their own whilst continuing to ridicule him. I couldn't handle that, it would make me sick.

Happy Thanksgiving to my friends in America and good luck with the floods to my friends in the UK!

wulsy,
I'm trying to send you a private message but your inbox is full. Would you mind clearing some space? I'd appreciate it.

So what you're saying is that I shouldn't think that's I'm a Ferrari, that I'm actually more of an Accord or Civic, and that when I'm approaching a turn, I shouldn't floor it? You're saying elite drivers don't just floor it? No wonder I pay so much for insurance.

Speaking of driving analogies, this thread was from earlier in the year but provided an awesome analogy that definitely set off a light bulb in my head: http://www.brianmanzella.com/golfing-discussions/17273-motorcycle-countersteering.html

DJ's torso numbers:

Hello Mike.

That is odd. My first thought it that it is not real. There can be some funky movement of the shoulders and torso when the Matt system tracks a swing. Also, when the movement data is differentiated to get velocity, this can make any noise in the data worse. The reality of things would be that the angular velocity would rise and drop smoothly. The angular velocity would likely peak mid to late downswing.

I hope this helps.

Enjoy your thanksgiving!

Ian
