You said "Like Mac"....but to my knowledge he has never made claims in public, or written, and if he has that you know of I would love to read it.

Now to my knowledge the only way to directly learn anything he teaches is to attend a clinic in person. I think you can get good information from teachers who have attended many clinics but again there is going to be interpretation of his words and the picture gets muddled. If we want to talk in generalities I think thats about as far as you can go, stuff like steep shoulder turn, swing left of the ball target line, knee flexes, pressure points under arms, stuff like that.

Well that would be in public " a clinic" that you can attend, unless he won't say anything at the clinic and everyone has to guess what his concepts are. He has made a claim in public just by having clinics that teach his concepts to others, that is a statement, by his actions and words at a clinic telling others what his concepts are to be taught.

I just disagree........if I attend a clinic by BM and report my opinions on what he taught I don't see how anyone could validate his theories based on my words, subject my opinions of his words to scientific scrutiny. They could only discuss my opinions.

No need to check swing your way to push draws:

Her shoulders—on the downswing, match her eventual sweetspot path, way better than Lovemark.
So do Ishikawa's shoulders (love his waggle):

Having said that...

I have ALWAYS had a problem with MORAD.

Never ever really liked the swings it produced.

We had an "in" many years ago, before some of these cats were even born. Tommie Mudd played with Mike Finney at LSU. We had all the tapes, lessons, etc....

I have kept up with the progress of that system over the years. I am sure there is a lot of great things.

But, I don't like the swings.

The science is showing that Homer was pretty far off, and Mac knew that, but the swings that I like, and apparently never get produced by morad teachers, are doing great with the sciences.

We were DEAD WRONG in many things because we thought TGM had all the answers.

You guys don't either.

We are finding that these RESTRICTIVE SWINGS ARE NOT OPTIMUM.

Not close.

Our stuff will be better, and we'll get it published.

Interesting given my own issues.

But if *some restrictive system* is "dead wrong", what is right?

And how does the club golfer implement that?

Didn't call it "dead wrong" called it not optimum--not optimal on 6 degree 3-D or on Trackman.

This is sort of the reverse of the angle in the video you posted, but an interesting view, nonetheless, on how to optimize:
<object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/wGv_9kYMhfU?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/wGv_9kYMhfU?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>

Didn't call it "dead wrong" called it not optimum--not optimum kinetically on 6 degree 3-D or on Trackman.

You're absolutely right - I stand corrected.

But let's explore the idea of "not optimum" a bit further.

Brian said that certain types of swings are "not optimum" per se, ie without caveats or exceptions. So, by the same logic, there is a way of swinging the club which is, per se, (ie universally) more optimum.

Thus my original question still stands. What is 'optimum' and, more importantly, how do club golfers (the guys who shoot 80-95), of varying backgrounds, ages and intellects, implement that, especially without access to the likes of Trackman?

That's not the same is it, these are instructors i'm talking about and they are going out and representing Mac's teachings of Morad to their students. Mac has taught his stuff to others and in doing so he has put out his concepts, he has told others his ideas and banished them from the" inner circle" for revealing his "secrets". It's hard to have and teach a method if you don't tell anyone anything about it and keep it a secret all to yourself, i mean there are Morad teachers are there not?

I try not to be prone to hyperbole but Ishikawa might have the best backswing/change of direction in golf. Zero chance of losing sweetspot control as well as being dynamic as s**t.

I'm intrigued!! Can't wait to learn this stuff.
I think these videos present a pretty good introduction into this topic:

Brian would have done an even better job explaining it, no doubt.

Define 'teacher'. Not that I'm bitter

Okay, maybe a wrong choice of word/s , how about, someone who thinks he knows what Morad is, went to a clinic for Morad instructors but was told not to say anything specific about the concepts of Morad and only generalize these concepts to students, as expulsion is the penalty for revealing any of the real secrets.

I don't know? What do you think? just seems a bit long and doesn't have the same ring as "teacher"... lol.

Richie,
I don't know the answer to your question. However, your question reminded me about the distinction between accuracy and precision. Optimal performance is accurate performance. Consistent performance is precise performance. You conflated the terms in your question so I presented the link.
